Stainless steel 304 flanges are enriched with amazing ductile, welding, and annealing properties. These flanges are generally made of 8% nickel, 18% chromium, and austenitic steel. Stainless steel 304 flanges are corrosion and oxidation resistant, which makes them ideal for big industrial applications. 304 flanges are also resistant to crevice corrosion, heat, and pitting as it has low carbon content. This grade can tolerate heat up to 870°C, which allows it to work in heat application units.
Stainless steel 304 flanges are reinforced with amazing annealing properties. The right annealing temperature is from 1010°C to 1120°C, SS304 flanges are so low on carbon content that it does not require post-annealing treatment. 304 is often used in the fabrication of pipe fittings as it has a high carbon grade alloy. This alloy has a high yield and tensile strength. The tensile strength of stainless steel 304 flanges is 75000 Psi, and the yield strength is 30000 Psi.
